undo empty trash ?

New imac and cleaning up after fire wiring from old one.
Stupid I know - but is it possible to undo empty trash as have lost treasured photos

No, you can't undo the empty trash. However, if you wish to have any hope at all of getting your photos back, stop using the hard drive that they were on.

Use another computer and download the trial version of the "Stellar Data Recovery Software" from here. Follow directions. Use the trial version to see if it can recover your photos. If it can, you can buy the full version and use it to recover your photos.

You missed the waring box when you emptied the Trash?

It says "You cannot undo this action."

I totally agree with chscag - Don't touch that drive!

Sarah, I know hindsight is always 20/20, but please backup any files that are important when you switch computers, or even upgrade from one OS version to another. It really does save anxious moments like these.

Not much help now, I know.. But, perhaps a lesson for next time. :)
