Iphoto doesnt see iphone - cant sync camera roll

Iphoto used to pop up every time i plugged in my iphone. Then one day it just stopped. Now my iphone wont even appear in the sidebar in iphoto.

I cant sync my photos from the camera roll.... any idea what is going on??

Could be a number of things. It happened to me and after trying everything in the help called tech support, was fixed by: shutting down my imac, unplug all ports except keyboard and mouse. Unplug from electric outlet for 5 min, in the middle of the wait hold power button for 5 seconds. This reset ports and worked. Ta Da!

Have you tried the Image Capture application to see if it will see the iPhone?
