Can i do all the exact features of the Apple Remote with the iPhone+ App called "Remote" ??

I got a second hand Macbook without the remote.

I would like to Pause / Play / Skip/ Fwd / Rwd Movies & Music while my Mac is on the desk ( and my Monitor over my bed :p )

Dont feel like getting up to Pause / skip / Search for a Movie on my HDD / iTunes library!

With 100.000 Apps in the App Store there is bound to be one - i have used iPhone for a remote to run a Keynote on a MBP so i would be surprised if you cant find what u want in the App Store.

Yes. The apple app Remote does everything the physical one does.

Yes, but get "rowremote" not "remote", much better for me and handles applications like front row, plex, iphoto etc. Basically all apple apps! ;)

Hmm its a Paid app. :( I got to Credit Card to buy from App Store :(

BTW its Rowmote >> Not Rowremote.
Thanks for recommending it, I read up about it and it seems like an interesting app!

Thanx

Have you got all the updates for the VLC player ...
VLC does play .avi codec ...
Make sure you have all updates and if still no joy, trash it and dl it again.
You dont say what version OS you are running, and if you have SL it might not be the SL compatible version...
Get the latest VLC HERE

Cheers
