I'm not 100% sure where to put this thread so I'm gonna put it in here.
I have a LG M227WD monitor connected into my Macbook. I've been able to get 1920X1080 resolution for the past 6 odd months. Once day my monitor cable broke(not the adapter) and when I changed it I could only get
1680X1050. If I do put it on 1080, the screen shifts over to the right, and on the left hand side is just empty black screen space.
Any idea why this has happened? Is the monitor cable? I didn't think they could do that. If you think this thread should be in another place, please to tell
