mbp 15" battery adapter

My mbp 15" battery adapter is bust and isn't working. Any suggestions on how
I could repair it ? Is there a common problem (loose wire/contacts) and is it
repairable at local electricians ??

If not, is there any cheaper non-Apple chargers available in the market.
80$ for the original seems tooooo costly!!

It is probably repairable at a local electrician if you can diagnose what's wrong with it. If not, just buy a new one. $80 isn't that much.
