• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

question 2 is does anyone know of any legit final cut express torrents?

and question 3 is... i have recently tried to torrent but once i torrent a program or dvd off transimissions i cant open the file and once i try yo open it in my finder it asks me what i want to open it with(which program) and for eg. what program would i choose if i torrented final cut express

I suggest your purchase it seeing as how downloading it is illegal. Please see the community guidelines (link in signature).

legit+final cut express torrents does not exist, and the discussion of illegal activity according to US law is not allowed here. FCE is relatively inexpensive considering how powerful it is, and is easily obtainable from Apple or many Apple resellers.

Since question 3 relates to question 2, can't help much.

I use an HF100 and I love it. I can't speak to the HG20/HF20, but they are probably pretty good cameras. perhaps someone else could comment on them for you.

Torrents of Non Free Software are illegal and against the rules here at Mac Forums to discuss.

There is no legal torrent of Final Cut anything.

I would suggest you start of using iMovie which is already installed on every new Mac and requires nothing illegal.
