External Drive lost after Tiger.

Since I Tigered my G4 I can no longer see my backup drive on my desktop. I repower the drive and still can't see it.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Can you see the disk in the disk utility window?

If so use the disk utiltiy application to mount the disk drive.

No I can't see it. All I can see there is my Mac HD and a CD in the tray.
