Disk Utility can't Repair Permissions, HELP!!

Hello All!

My system was not functioning well and the RAM always ran out, so I did a Permissions Repair in Disk Utility.

Restarted the computer, and logged into an idle account that I only use for Repairing Permissions, as it has no start-up items.

I did a permissions repair again on that account and it gave the message as shown in the attached image. I clicked Repair Permissions AGAIN without even quitting Disk Utility and it gave me the same message again.

Why aren't my Disk Permissions getting repaired?

That is completely normal. Those permissions are special and will always show up as being changed

Are u sure trpnmonkey? If that is the case then it is truly a relief!

Does the same happen to all others here? Replies from members would be appreciated.

I recently rebuilt my G4 and I think I remember seeing those too!

Don't Worry! As for you RAM maxing out what apps are you running ( if any )?

what makes you think they are not repaired?
It says right there, in the last line, that permissions have been repaired

Alright thanks! I have many apps running, but i guess most are start-up apps (synergy, winswitch, konfabulator, salling clicker, etc.) and im gonna get rid of them soon.

Ok agreed mac-simus, but how come these repaired files get messed up within seconds, so that when i repair it again within a few moments, it finds the same files to repair again and again and agian.... Never mind, if its normal in OS X then im not worried!

Here is what I see. I believe the problem is with the idle account. It sounds like you have more than one account on your system. If so, you need to use the account that has admin rights, then repair permissions.
