Hinge design - range for Unibody vs Poly

I have a black Macbook polycarbonate. One of my few gripes with it is the hinge on the lid does not allow it to be opened very far.

Anyone know if the newer Unibody Macbooks allow the screen to be tilted further back than the previous 2008 polycarbonates?

MBP/2.53GHz i5/4GB RAM/500GB HDD/15" LED Screen/Intel HD Graphics & NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
My 15" MBP screen falls back 47.3 degrees off vertical. I measured using my iPhone so I imagine it's more like 45 degrees which I seem to remember Apple saying somewhere.
