Depends what you're doing. Perhaps you should provide some context or more information so we know what to tell you. It's very hard to tell you without any information as to what you're doing with your machine.

For the record, I'm using an 2.1 Core2Duo and it's more than fine. That said, I may do very different things with my Mac.

Yes, it should be fine. If your machine is running smoothly and running pretty fast, the processor is enough for what you are doing.
