I plugged in my iPhone into the mic jack on my MBP but I can't get the audio to play out of the speakers or headphone jack.
I have google this and found that people suggest opening the midi preferences and checking the "thru" box. Unfortunately this box is disabled for me.
I understand the problems that can be created with feedback so I can see why this option is disabled by default, but I want to turn it on!!! Is there another setting I'm missing that is not allowing me to check the "thru" box? I can see that the mic is definitely picking up a signal
