Hello all,
Could somebody please advise on a connectivity question? I have a new iMac 27" and wish to connect my Jamo i300 speakers to it. My speakers have a 3.5mm Jack input but what do i need at the Mac end? I keep reading conflicting info as to whether it is a Fibre Output or a standard 3.5mm Jack.

Many Thanks

John

Location
Texas, where else?
Your Mac's Specs
15" MBP '06 2.33 C2D 4GB 10.7; 13" MBA '14 1.8 i7 8GB 10.11; 21" iMac '13 2.9 i5 8GB 10.11; 6S
Both are correct. It is a combo output with both analog and digital available in the single port.

You would simply need a stereo mini-plug cable.

Thanks for the reply, that sort of clears things up. So would i be better getting a 3.5mm > 3.5mm Cable or would a Toslink cable be Suitable/Better?

Thanks in Advance

John
