Howdy ya'll.
I originally had some MAJOR problems with OS X mail. As someone described in another post, Mail wouldn't quit, and all my saved mail appeared to be lost. I, fortunatley, was able to fix that problem.
But, now I have another one. I re-assigned Dashboard to work on the F8 key, and now, whenever I press F8, and dashboard opens, so does Mail. I don't know if it's the F8 key or Dashboard which is causing the problem. I checked the Keyboard, Mouse & Trackpad System Prefrence Pane, and there is no Application set to launch when I press F8.
