I am staying with a friend for a few days and yesterday i reinstalled snow leopard on my MBP. Before the reinstall i could use my friends wireless network but after i cant. I get a "no internet connection" error. The network diagnostics cant help me. The status says that: "AirPort has the self-assigned IP address 169.254.179.174 and will not be able to connect to the Internet."
I have no idea why it doesnt work when it worked fine before the reinstall. please help.
