Help needed

Old system - iMac G3, Mac OS9.1
New system - Intel iMac, Mac OS 10.5

What I would like to do is transfer as much info as possible from my old system to my new one. Both are already linked into an ethernet hub and when I try to connect via appletalk/appleshare from the new system to the old one all I get is an error message (error -43). I've looked into Sheepshaver but that seems to go no higher than OS9.0.

Any help would be great, thanks in advance

OS 9 uses an older network protocol called AppleTalk

OSX disables this by default, preferring to share files over TCP/IP

Tp enable Appletalk sharing on OS X, go to system preferences > Network

Select the Ethernet option and select the advanced button. One of the tabs in the new dialogue will be AppleTalk, turn it on to allow OS9 machines to network to your machine
