If I reinstall mac os x on my imac powerpc g4, after installation, do I need to install drivers to make everything work like you have to on a PC? If so, where can I get these drivers?

If you do a clean install, then yes, and from developers websites normally.
If you archive and install you should keep the drivers, but the same applies.

All the drivers required for the internal components are included as part of the OS X installation.
You may need to obtain drivers for some 3rd party devices such as printers, etc.

Best make sure the disk you want to install will work on the machine.
If you're using the original disk that shipped with it or a retail version of OS X, then you should be good to go.
