Troble installing softwares after OS X 10.6

I have a Macbook 2.4 Ghz and just upgraded to Snow Leopard, after what it just won't intall or upgrade new softwares. I wasn't able to intall adobe photoshop elements 8. Can anyone help me? Thx

Error messages? How is it that you're prevented from installing apps?
