This error message is popping up whenever I plug my WD Passport Elite into my Mac:

The disk "My Passport" was not repairable by this computer. It is being made available to you with limited functionality. You must back up your data and reformat the disk as soon as possible.

What does this mean and what do I do?

Your Mac's Specs
late 08 macbook 2.0 4gig 320hdd10.7.3 32 gig iPhone 4s
It means back up everything on that hdd right now and then worry about the drives life.

Really back it up before you do anything then run repair in disc utility
