I was looking on Mozilla's website and I came across Camino as an alternative to Firefox. Apparently Camino is more geared to the Mac OS.

Has anyone any views on this browser compared to Firefox?

It's much better integrated, being a Cocoa app. That said, it tends to lag behind Firefox in terms of integrating the newest versions of Gecko (rendering engine). For instance, Firefox 3.5.x uses Gecko 1.9.1 while Camino 2.0.1 uses 1.9.0.16. The discrepancy is much smaller now - I believe when Firefox 3 came out (and for quite a while afterwards), Camino was still using the version of Gecko included with Firefox 2.

Your best bet is just to try it.

I just tried Camino today and didn't like it. When I clicked on a link inside a tab it closed my other tabs. Performance wise, I couldn't tell a difference with Camino to FireFox.

Thanks guys. I think I stick to the trusty Firefox.
