CS3 in Snow Leopard?

I upgraded to Snow Leopard in September (not really a matter of choice, it came with my new MBP). However, CS3 doesn't work performing the normal install. Is there any way I can get CS3 running in Snow Leopard? I was told by my school's IT person (who is quite knowledgeable) that there was a way to get around that problem.

I know there are issues, and believe me, I've read all there is to be found about compatibility, but I'm wondering if you can install CS3 in Snow Leopard.
