Right, i want to update my mac OS, and my friend has brought over her installation disks for OS Version 10.5.6, i want to totally wipe my mac and just install these, the only problem i think i may have is that they are from a mac book package, will this effect anything?

There are two problems with that. First, the OS discs that come with machines are model specific. Second, using someone else's disc is piracy. You can not use someone else's install disc.

Go out and purchase a Leopard full retail install DVD and piracy is not supported here.
