Pre-installed mac printers?

Ok first off didn't know where to post this but here it is anyway:

If you navigate to Volume/Library/Printers

You'll find 2.68 GB of printers pre-installed on your mac, I'm never going to use a printer with my mac so are these safe to delete?

When i did my clean install i opted out of languages and printer drivers - my Printer folder has 43 MB. If u are running 10.6 with a printer connected it will update to latest drivers automatically so my guess is you could trash all in that folder and download the latest for a printer if u ever devide to add one in the future.
