I accidently deleted all of the track numbers on my entire iTunes Playlist(over 1100 songs) and was curious if there is a way to recover the without having to look up each album and put the track numbers in manually, thanks.

*How* did you accidentally delete the track numbers?

For example, did you select All Tracks, Get Info on one track, etc, delete the selected track number, and then apply that command to all your iTunes collection?

I just selected all the tracks and in a braindead moment selected track number as an option to clear in the get info tab not thinking about the obvious consequences...

Given the time lapse since the event occurred, I suspect you're in for a lengthy and tedious process of reassigning track numbers. Unfortunate.

Having said that, are they really necessary? If it's of any help, I keep Info about tracks in iTunes to a bare minimum, often just the title and artist.

Well, as of the time of my screw up, we have that in common lol...

No its not a huge deal, I would like my complete albums to be in order, but I will survive them not being that way...thanks for the responses
