Hey guys, I'm Maya, new to the forum but very excited to be getting my Macbook soon (this whacked out PC crashed immediately after I registered for the mac forums - spooky). My problem is that all my music, films, photos etc. (about half a tb) are on my Freecom HD drive. I know that the HD drive itself can work on both PC and Mac, but what do I do about the files? Do I need to reformat the drive? Any suggestions or similar experiences would be sweet. Cheers.

I would read the instructions. Sometimes the HDD are preformatted already and can be used right out of the box.
