If i format my hard drive to wipe everything to start fresh, will this delete 'everything' or will i still have all the default applications i had on my mac when i first bought it?
If you format the hard drive you will wipe everything. Once you do that in order to get the default applications back you would have to reinstall them from the discs that came with the Mac.
