iMac keeps going to sleep on it's own

As the title says, my iMac keeps going to sleep on its own. I took it back to geeksquad and they said it worked fine.

But as soon as I got it home it did it again.

I'm in the process of installing Snow Leopard, as it had the one before installed.


Anything anyone knows to fix?

Check you settings under /System Preferences/Energy Saver. It has settings for sleep and for turning off the display which might appear to be sleep.

I noticed it is not actually going to sleep, but turning off. I'm going to take it back to best buy tomorrow.

I'm thinking it might be something to do with the heat sensor. Could I be right in this assumption?

After installing the suggested update, I am still having the same problems as before. Though, I have noticed that the shutdown intervals seem further apart.

Anymore suggestions anyone?

P.S.- I will be contacting apple later today to ask them for help too

UPDATE:

Went to best buy and traded the bogus 24" iMac for a brand spanken NEW Macbook.

Specs:
2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB DDR3 RAM
250GB HDD
