iTouch lost it's Touch

I have an iTouch that can be turned on and off and everything else appears to be working except the touch portion (where you slide to unlock) won't slide over. It doesn't recognize anything on the screen.

Any ideas?

Try restoring it. I'd recommend syncing it to your computer first, so you don't lose anything.

tried that and it still wont recognize my fingers contact

You might have to go through apple then. I had a friend who had the same problem, and I believe he had to have apple fix it.

make sure when you're trying to touch the screen that you don't have any gloves on, or that you are touched the multi touch display with your finger nail. The display only responds to actual skin touch. Otherwise, i'd say try the restore and then if that doesn't work, take it to the store.
