Using Windows on both boot camp and Parallels....[HELP]

Ok I totally feel like a rookie for this question... BUT

I installed windows 7 on Boot Camp, and now I want to use it on parallels as well, but it tells me I need to re-activate and then when I try to do this it tells me I must call Microsoft, which of course I don't really wanna do....

ANY HELP WILL BE GREAT!

Are you trying to create a new virtual machine in Parallels, or "re-use" your Boot Camp installation? If you are trying to create a new VM and thus creating a new install of Windows, try using the Boot Camp install instead.

Doesn't matter whether he's creating a "new" virtual machine or whether he's using the Boot Camp partition as a VM, Microsoft requires that the copy of Win 7 be activated again.

Yep, call for the activation. I've only had to call them maybe a dozen times over the years. Don't believe it's ever taken longer than 3-4 minutes.

Well that blows. What a bunch of punks. I thought for sure it would stay activated that way.
