Trash refuses to empty

Hi guys,

I'm having a little difficulty in clearing my trash for some reason.

It seems to be perpetually stuck like this:



Can someone help me out?

Have you tried rebooting the machine? Repairing permissions? If neither works and the trash still refuses to empty, try downloading and running "Force Empty Trash" a free application from here.

Ctrl+Shift Click the trash can => Secure Empty Trash.

I tried the "Secure Empty Trash" method already but it still didn't work.

However, the free app "Force Empty Trash" did seem to do the trick.
