I am thrilled that I got a (used) early Macbook Pro for Christmas. I had previously been using a "hack-a-mac" Mac OS on a Lenovo Thinkpad (grrrrr. don't get me started!)
I need to transfer my email address books and mailboxes to the new Mac. I was thinking I'd just use a firewire cable and Migration Assistant, but -duh- the Lenovo has no firewire port! Will it work with USB-Firewire (or just USB-USB)? I can't fford to go spend $25 on a cable that won't work, so hoping to find out here first.
I tried doing it using the network they're both on, but it would not let me do so....
Any advice?
