I purchased the 10.5 leopard full install dvd for my PB G4. It will get down to 20 minute left on install and says Failed because of lexmark drivers. what to do now? I have tried to twice and same thing.

Remove all attached hardware before trying again. I'm assuming here that you have your Lexmark printer hooked up while installing.

Regards.

Did you by chance select Archive and Install or a simple update?

It didn't ask any of that! just inserted the disk and selected the hard and that it. It takes a while to start up. Now the supervisor password don't work.

Boot from your Leopard disc, go to Utilities and run Repair Disk, then format Mac OS Extended (Journalled) and do a clean install. Keep us posted?

Great stuff!

Do you actually have a Lexmark printer? They are the devil thmselves to get working drivers as Lexmark's IT people are not very Mac wise.

I don't have any printers hooked up. The first time it was lexmark and the second was canon drivers.
