Battery problem?

MacBook pro 13" 2.26 GHz Core 2 Duo 8GB RAM 750 GB HDD
I just got my macbook pro 13in 2.26 2 days ago and so far it has been a great computer, although I think there may be a battery problem.

I have it plugged in right now and it says 55 mins left. I dont have the brightness up very much and the battery percentage is 57% full. I havent left it to charge overnight since I know that ruins batteries out. I am probably going to let it just charge for a while when the computer is off.

Are we looking at a battery problem or did I just not do something?

Ok maybe when I have it plugged in, the time it shows next to the battery icon is how much longer it will take to get a full charge? Because I just unplugged it and it says 7:38 :D
