• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Alright, I started making this video that I planned to put on YouTube a while ago.
You see, at first, the sound wouldn't play on half the videos I loaded onto the program (which, obviously, was a real pain) and the quality dropped on all of them, too. Then, the preview screen went totally black, and that little loading thing (you know, the circular thing) is stuck there. I also can't put any videos onto the movie itself; that green bar that indicates the video is about to be integrated into the movie stays there, but the clip never loads onto it. :Shouting:

I am VERY aggravated.

Where did the videos come from? What format (container file and codecs) are they? Is your software all up to date? Have you tried removing the iMovie preference file?
