Lost/Gone, >Address Book<?

Somehow on accident i lost my address book on my mac. i "spotlighted for files with the name "address book" and didn't find anything.
i do not have the CD. what should i do to get it back/find if i have it?

You probably still have the Address Book app on your Mac. Open Finder. Then double click on the Macintosh HD icon in the left column. Look for Applications. Open it, and find Address Book. If it's there, you can drag it to Places, and it will copy itself there. From there, you can drag it back down to your Dock.

if Spotlight can't find it, it may have been deleted. And it's not available as a download from Apple or anywhere else.

The only way you're going to get the "address book.app" back is either from a backup you made or from your OS X DVD.

on the DVD. when i put it in will i have to reformat it or how will it work...
