digital copy not working with itunes

iMac 3.06 GHZ C2D 4GB ram OS X 10.6.2 21.5' monitor
I have 2 different Blu Ray DVD's that include a digital copy that is supposed to work with itunes and download to ipod. I can't get either of these to play. All I get with itunes is a gray screen. The time counter display runs like a movie is playing but I don't see anything.
Any help would be appreciated.

What is the format of the digital copies?

m4v

the digital copies are in m4v, with video codec H.264.

I have also experienced the same problem with The Descendants. There is only one disc so I assume it is a blu ray and digital copy rolled into one?

Anyone had similar problems with this film on macbook pro?
