This is my first post in Mac Forum.
Just got a MBP last week.

Installed MacTeX.

\href to a local pdf file in xdvik window causes

Command "/bin/sh -c acroread local-file-dir/anypdf.pdf" exited with error code 127.
/bin/sh: acroread: command not found.

I just switched from Linux, where the same problem can be resolved by editing /etc/mailcap

where I just manipulate

#application/pdf; evince %s

and replace evince with acroread, xpdf, or anything I want.

Now, the question, I cannot find /etc/mailcap on Mac.

How to solve a very linux-like error on a Mac machine. Any solution is welcome !!

I solved this problem by editing a file ~/.mailcap

that has the content :

application/pdf; open -a "Adobe Acrobat Pro" %s
