hey everyone
i have a 13 in mbp, bought this last summer. i unfortunately spilled a little bit of soda on it this evening, and while i worked hard to clean it and get under the keys, i couldn't get to every nook and cranny. this spacebar is particularly bad, filling a little too "sticky" and not making the smooth click sounds i'm used to hearing on the keyboard. That smooth typing sound is in general a little off, but the keys seem to be working just fine with the exception of the keyboard. i mean, i'm writing this message with it after all. but the more i use the spacebar the worse it feels.....
what can i do about this? can i take it the apple store? what will they do to fix it/replace it? costs? can my warranty cover it?
i'd appreciate any insight/tips!
understand that i did see the sticky, but this was a much lighter spill in relation to the kind of scarier situations they're describing. my computer is working fine, and it was a light spill (quick catch) that just splattered on parts of the keyboard but were prominent around the space bar.
and now my trackpad is having a similar sensation to the spacebar...
man, i really hope i can figure out a cheap solution to this...
