I was looking at newegg and saw this:

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory Model F3-8500CL7S-4GBSQ - Laptop Memory

It comes with a free 8gb Flash drive. It isn't listed as specific macbook pro ram, but it is ddr3 and pc3 8500, 1066 mhz.

This will work, correct? And what is the deal with the timing? Is that good, or bad?

Also.....does it HAVE to be 1066 mhz, or can it be higher?

Don't go higher, it will have to downclock the speed and it could lead to potential problems.
