Suddenly the colors of my monitor are off as well as the resolution. I calibrated the monitor a few times, reset the screen resolution but something is going on. Professional looking pictures are now dark with lots of shadows like photoshop filter that posterizes......
Any ideas???

I ran Colorsync and got rid of one bad profile. Which hardware test are you refering to otherwise?
BTW I apologize for posting this thread in the wrong section.

Some of the earlier 20 iMacs were PPC all the later were Intel. Hardware test on Intel is on the install disk that came with iMac - turn it on pop in the disk and hold the D key and shoot for extended test. - Good luck

Hello - I ran the hardware test, the long one to no avail. Computer starts fine and the monitor and colors look perfect. About 2 seconds after the desktop wallpaper appears and the icons show up the screen turns to a "posterized" look like the filter in photoshop.
Not sure what else I can do.
