macbook or pc for general use

would you go for a macbook or a pc for general use
emailing
surfing net
saving photos from phone to computer etc??

I'd go for a mac, but that's just because I prefer the OS.
If you want a laptop, get a laptop. Else, if you want one for only desktop use, you might consider buying a a mac mini, if you already have a screen, or else an imac.

Macbooks will do great with all those things.

It depends. Are you a student? If so, chances are you can get a new one with student discount for but 30-50 pounds more, (hope I got my currency converting right, I think in euro's.).

both can do it(general use). i believe macs do it better and faster because of os x and the amazing software it comes with
