Connecting a PS3/360 to 27" iMac

I have searched but have been unable to find any recent threads about this. I REEEEALLY want to use my iMac as a screen to play my PS3 on. I know that I need a HDMI to Mini Displayport adapter but they just don't exist. Belkin announced one but then removed all evidence of doing so, now Apogee have announced one but haven't told us a release date or price. If anyone knows anything about this at all, please could you share your knowledge here?

From what I know you can only connect a device that natively supports Mini Displayport out to the iMac 27", a converter won't work.

At this time, it looks to me like the mini-display port input on the new iMac as about as useful as "fill in your own description here".

There just are no TVs, DVD players, Blu-Ray players, gaming systems or anything else I know of besides a few computers that have display port output that could make use of that port.

There are currently no adapters / switching boxes on the market that I have found that will go from any of the other existing technology video outputs to display port or mini-display port. Everyone is clamoring for one. Betcha, when one does hit the shelves, it's going to be in the $150-$250 price range.
