powerbook g4 $45 ebay battery vs $129 apple battery

im in the processing of getting a 12 inch powerbook g4 from a member on the forum, i have to get a new battery, has anyone had good luck with the batterys on ebay for about 50 bucks, or should i just get a oem one from apple for 116 w/ student discount?

I have no personal experience, but I would be very concerned about the quality and safety of any battery that cost that little.

I can't speak for the Powerbook batteries, but I took a shot on one of the cheapo eBay batteries for my old iBook G4 and it performed just as well as the battery that I spent over $100 on at the Apple store.

I don't know if there is any consistency with these results. Caveat emptor.
