OSX Language Settings

Hi,

I bought an iMac for my wife today and when installing she has gone through the inital set up che has selected main language as japanese (she is japanese) but I cant read japanese. How can i change the language main language to english??

System Preferences -> Language & Text. Click on the Language Tab and select English. Of course this assumes you can read enough of the menus to be able to find your way around. Have your wife do it for you.

What you really should do is set the machine up in English and use the language input method for whenever your wife wishes to use the machine. That will allow her to use Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji anytime she wants.

This is exactly what I do when I want to type stuff in Japanese, as well as other languages.
