Hi all,

I'm having a serious problem. Every time I turn on my macbook a question mark appears with a greyed-out folder. I've researched it online and the best solution, it seemed, was to put the installation disks in and reinstall. The problem is, my macbook just spits them back out. I'm really worried. I have uni' assignments to hand in after Christmas and, although most of my work is backed up, I need all the software on my computer. My last backup was about three months ago - and I really, really need to retrieve some of the files.

Any help is welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but it didn't solve my problem.

I really need to retrieve the data. Coincidentally my pen drive's broken. I'm failing university because of this.
