Problem with optical drive

My MBP will not read my cd. I wanted to know if there is any way to get the installer from the cd to my laptop?

The optical drive on the MBP should read any CD. There is either something wrong with that CD, or your drive. Try reading that CD in some other drive, and try reading another CD in your drive.
