Lines on Imac Display

Your Mac's Specs
iMac 24" 2.66ghz
Not sure if this is the right section. But when I boot up my iMac, I see about 3 lines streaking along the top and bottom part of my screen. It shows during the white screen with apple logo and the light blue after that. I just noticed this about a couple of days ago. Does anybody know what this is?
