touch 1st gen not booting

so earlier i cleaned my ipod, it wasnt pluged in but it made the noise and changed the screen to the charging one, it switched back and forth from charging to not, so i turned it off and turned it wouldnt turn back on, i plug it in, nothing, i hold buttons nothing



any ideas

Dishwasher and then washing machine,

Sprayed micro fiber cloth with glasses solution and then wiped.

and to add after i reebooted it got stuck on the apple logo so i turned it off again. then it wouldnt turn on

That shouldn't have shorted it unless the cloth was really wet or got some moisture in the port then plugged it in. Sorry ....I got nothin.

A question : is your computer seeing it when it's plugged in ?

no it does not.

Well the troubleshooter in me says we have ruled out the computer , and the cord. It is really sounding like a moisture problem. Bout all I can suggest is giving it a good while to dry out.
