I am having some problems, I bought a mini display port to Vga and Vga to component to hook up to my Tv so I can watch movies from my Macbook. But for some reason I can't get it to work. Anyone else have this issue?

Which MacBook do you own? Year, model.

Which TV are you trying to hook it up to?

Regards.

Did you read the thread in the link that Bob provided? The cable you bought is not going to work. Look in your user manual for what inputs the Viera has. You should have several HDMI inputs. You will also need a separate cable for audio input to your TV.

Regards.
