I have two Gmail (IMAP) accounts and one Hotmail (POP) account on my Apple Mail.
I seem to have so many Mailboxes and duplicate messages when I check my mail. In the left-hand pane, I see these main headings:
MAILBOXES (+ Inbox, Sent, Trash, Junk subfolders)
"MYNAME1" GMAIL (+ All my Gmail subfolders/labels)
"MYNAME2" GMAIL (+ All my Gmail subfolders/labels)
"MYNAME3 HOTMAIL (+ subfolders)
REMINDERS
ON MY MAC (+ subfolders)
Every time a I send or receive an email, there seems to be several duplicate uploads and downloads going on, for the same email, which on my slow connection takes forever.
How can I simplify my email life, so that I only see just the MAILBOX with one set of subfolders for each account? Are some of these mailboxes "live" and others stored permanently on my MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard OS)?
