Actually, they are still getting shorter but sunset is now officially getting later which is really nice. Sunrise is still getting later each day and doing so faster than sunset is getting later so the days are still getting shorter. All that changes on or about 12/21 when sunset begins to win the race. Then, on around Jan 10, sunrise begins getting earlier.

Confused?

To simplify: Pretty soon it will be time to go skiing!

You're in the wrong hemisphere, it's time to go swimming down here :D. It was 30ºC (86F) on Saturday. Currently 6-7 hours of darkness daily. Hard to beat, early mornings are simply the best.
